About AAC

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete was invented in Sweden in 1923 as an alternative building material to alleviate the depletion of their forests. Developed by Joseph Hebel in Germany in 1947, it was the perfect material, easily made from abundant natural resources, easy to work with, and proved to be extremely durable over time. It is now one of the most widely used building materials in 50 countries, with over 300 manufacturing plants around the world. AAC has been available in the United States for just over 10 years, with plants in Florida built by Hebel of Germany.
